Reports to: GM Exhibitions & Events

Scope of position:
Responsible for planning, development, implementation and measurement of TGPs marketing strategy, communications and public relations activities; both external and internal, to enhance TGPs image and position in the Exhibitions marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, execute and supervise a strategy to market trade shows periodically and thoroughly following the Exhibitions calendar to understand the development of key shows and new key players to be targeted by the sales team
- Work collaboratively with the Operations Director to maximize the utilization of marketing actions/ideas by the sales staff
- Identify new market trends and innovative ideas to be incorporated into TGP services/offers
- Ensure that TGP Exhibitions regularly conducts relevant market research to understand the development of key shows and players to be pro-actively targeted by the sales team
- Work with the GM and Operations Director to implement the designed marketing strategy through the Telemarketing team
- Oversee the development and implementation of all print and electronic marketing materials including Exhibition division credentials, brochures, business cards and letter heads to ensure clear and consistent articulation of TGPs desired image and position in the marketplace through all internal and external communication
- Consolidate the brand & communications guidelines for the whole company in agreement with the GM
- Implement and manage a comprehensive online marketing strategy for the Exhibitions Division to contribute to engagement and lead generation goals
- Digital Advertising & SEO - Responsible for managing media buys, ROI tracking and search engine optimization
- Content Marketing & Social Media - proficiently plan, create, and manage a range of engaging content across all channels
- Source relevant agencies to support marketing & PR strategies and manage relationships and outputs of all, if need be
- Generate and coordinate media interest, respond to and represent TGP in media enquiries, and oversee editorial direction
- Create and monitor the marketing budget (including telemarketing)
- Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relation goals. Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to these goals and objectives.
- Assist in the recruitment process of new TM, marketing and sales team members when requested
- Assist in proposal supervision when the project needs marketing assistance so as to provide demanding clients with presentations that address their activation strategy beyond the basic stand design
- Design, implement and monitor a series of KPIs for all reporting staff to monitor their behaviour in accordance to the divisions general strategy and aligned to other similar systems created by Operations Director for other teams.
- Create a monthly reporting structure to present to TGP management on marketing performance/actions/improvements against goals and financial objectives.

Requirements

- A Bachelors or Masters degree is required. CIMA qualifications would be preferable.
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities.
- Strong creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated sales success and team management capabilities
- Experience developing and managing budgets.
- Experience hiring, training, developing, supervising and appraising personnel.
- Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media.
- Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
- Computer literacy in word processing, data base management and page layout.
- Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
- Strong oral and written communications skills. Fluency in English is a must, Arabic would be a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Willingness to work long hours when the role requires.

Minimum Experience requirements:
- 5+ years experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success. Sales Exposure and Experience in the Exhibitions field are preferred. At least 2 of these should be in the UAE.
- Masters Degree in Marketing or equivalent is preferred.
