Marketing Director - (Beauty and Fragrance)

Salary: AED 35,000 50,000

A luxury retailer based in Dubai are looking to hire a Marketing Director to oversee and manage the Marketing for their Beauty and Fragrance Division. This person will be responsible for the development and implementation of the marketing strategies in the Middle East and India Region, maximizing qualitative use of all their marketing tools and assets to optimize brand visibility and sales efficiency. The Director will promote across all means of media including corporate, external and internal communications.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Trade Marketing and Promotion plan with each client (campaigns implementation, POS animations, all events and client related actions).
- Elaborate on a yearly basis each country marketing strategy and campaigns in the region in collaboration with the Commercial Department and our local partners.
- Prepare the marketing briefs in coordination with their media plans for each market.
- Define and implement the Promotional budgets (POS tools, merchandising, sampling, trade marketing, CRM, etc. ) in coordination with all other concerned departments, mainly Budget Control.
- Establish all POS tools forecast in line with each countrys strategy, place orders and follow-up on proper / timely deliveries to all POS.
- Develop a comprehensive analysis methodology to measure our investment ROIs on all campaigns, animations and events.
- Monitor the activities of competitors (market share, launch strategies, etc.).
- Collect information on the launch of new products versus competition.
- Pro-actively proposes new market data collection possibilities that would be relevant in view of improving our marketing investment strategies.
- Inform clients / distributors of new launches of products accordingly to approved marketing plans.
- Develop trade plans, marketing strategies by chain / POS.
- Prepare and monitor the forecast of campaign products.
- Advise the Trade Managers on product and sample / tester placements. Monitor their usage and budget.
- Prepare a detailed POS activity calendar based on the marketing plan and the promotion budget.
- Pioneer the launch of a CRM program in the region to build, develop, monitor and measure brand loyalty.
- Plan and implement Make-up artist activities & other animation in the POS in collaboration concerned departments.
- Analyze the result and impact of all such campaigns and activities.
- Work closely with the Operational Marketing in Head Office on this crucial image aspect of our brand visibility in POS.
- Coordinate with the Visual Merchandising Manager the proper implementation on a timely basis of all the visual merchandising activities in the region.
- Recruit (as and when necessary), manage, coach, motivate and develop the Marketing team to improve their competencies & abilities.
- Develop a strong collaboration and team spirit amongst the marketing team.

Requirements

- 10 years or more of marketing experience in the luxury / fashion / beauty / fragrance retail market.
- Excellent commercial understanding across beauty and fragrance, including remaining well informed and up to date with new media.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate teams.
- Ability to oversee multiple projects adapting to changing priorities as necessary.
- Good corporate communications writing and financial reporting skills.
- Strong financial experience of setting and working to budgets.
- Good understanding of competitive positioning, management of commercial processes, and maximisation of business opportunities.
