The RoleThe RoleExceptional opportunity to play a lead role in driving the UAE National sports / sponsorship / events for this well regarded international company based in Dubai. With operations in over 100 countries Worldwide they recognize the huge talent potential and have a proven track record of sponsorship of professional footballers, athlete and motor racing drivers. In Dubai they want encourage and sponsor the local sporting athletes in the UAE. As a newly created position you will report to the Country Manager will full budget, planning & execution of the marketing strategy to further attract local sporting talent to their brand to assist the athlete's in developing their true potential. This is an excellent chance to not only develop the brand but make a real difference to young athlete's lives. Position Summary: • Plan the annual sports marketing budget and strategy • Scout for new sporting talent across multiple sports including football, athletics, yachting, motor sports etc. • Align the brand to sponsorship of 3rd party events and manage company events • Manage a team of 4 coordinators locally • Liaise with external and internal creative, promotional & advertising teams • Identify opportunities for brand penetration with local sporting associations • Build on the international profile of the sports brand and bring currently sponsored athletes to Dubai for events |
RequirementsRequirementsSkills Required: • Minimum of 6 years commercial Marketing experience • A strong passion for sports is essential both personally & professionally • Minimum of 2 years recent Sports Marketing experience is essential either locally or internationally • Strong relationship building skills • A creative and entrepreneurial thinker you will be able to multi task and find the winning formula for events & sponsorship partnership • Good leadership and people management skills and not afraid to play a hands on role • A solid hard work ethic but results driven and rewarded approach to business • Ability to travel within the UAE primarily but some international travel will be required |
