MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Responsible for marketing activities and strategies concerning products for the business. Activities will be related to
achieving world-class market share, market development and financial performance.

MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Determines the marketing objectives, on the basis of the company and business unit strategies, in consultation with the Director of Sales and Marketing. This involves an annual marketing plan, forecast and the long-term strategy.
• Converts the marketing plan into concrete actions and, in consultation with the sales team, draws up a schedule for the proposed marketing actions: range, promotion, market research, marketing information, communication and public relations.
• Has direct responsibility for devising, directing and coordinating marketing programs and promotions to boost
sustainable sales growth and maximize profitability (EBIT), market growth and market shares of product lines.
• Blends technological and market knowledge to develop and communicate competitive advantages of Medtronic products to customers for patients benefit.
• Evaluates strategies for product launches to ensure products are properly positioned and that brochures, sales sheets, price strategy and supporting materials will launch products successfully and stimulate sales.
• Conducts regular consultations with internal stakeholders: Regulatory, Inventory Planning, Loaner Operations, HSS to ensure marketing strategies are aligned internally.
• Contributes as member of the marketing management team towards the planning and accomplishment of strategic
objectives and long-term goals of the organization.
• Collects data and conducts market analysis
• Develop annual operating plan (unit and revenue plans, resource plans for positioning and development of current and new products, etc)
• Review and update product forecast sheets in collaboration with product planning team and effectively manage
backorders and consignment inventories
• Coordinate account product evaluations
• Create pricing strategies by analyzing competitive products and market needs
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with key accounts and the respective health care professional
• Identify/access field sales and marketing support needs and provide strategies required to support field sales network to Director of Sales and Marketing.
• Coordinate and conduct in-house and field based training sessions for customers and TM’s
• Continue to remain abreast and on the required anatomy, surgical techniques, product knowledge and other
competency in the assigned product portfolio
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:

• Business degree or Bachelor of Science


JOB EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years successful marketing track record
• Previous product launch or product line extension experience.
• Managed a comprehensive product that has shown measurable success.
• Experience in medical products or pharmaceutical sales.
• Market research, new product development or clinical research experience.


SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Ability to build solid business relationships with physicians
• Demonstrate a solid proficiency with market analysis requirements
• Strong ability to acquire technical knowledge and converse at a clinical level
• Strong business partnering and collaborates well with the sales team
• Strong strategic planning, reporting ability and finance (AOP planning competencies
• Willing to improve marketing strategies with creativity and innovation.
• Self Confident
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Able to maintain a highly visible role within the customer base.
• Excellent presentations skills (computer literacy: MS Office, PowerPoint)
