The Role


The Role


Our client, a government entity, is urgently looking for a top notch and well experienced Marketing and PR Manager who will be based in their Abu Dhabi office. For this role, you will be primarily responsible to plan and roll out the corporate marketing strategy through overlooking and aligning company's marketing units - Brand Management, PR and Communications’ and Events’ Management.

Other responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Brand Strategy & Planning - Develop the corporate marketing strategy in alignment with the corporate strategy
• Manage the marketing team to ensure alignment of marketing units’ strategies, objectives and planning & execution of implementation plans with the corporate marketing strategy.
• Ensure effective liaison among the departments’ units to leverage on cross-functional synergies
• Plan and sign off marketing budgets in line with agreed corporate marketing strategy & overlook the execution by marketing unit to ensure adherence to assigned budgets
• Ensure adherence to corporate policies & procedures, ethical standards and code of conduct
• Manage the Branding team to:
a. Develop brand and/or product strategy in alignment with corporate marketing strategy
b. Identify & Implement key value propositions by target segment throughout various communication channels
c. Continuously monitor and re-evaluate brand awareness, recall, equity, positioning etc
d. Promote internal Brand Engagement & brand & retail guidelines’ implementation & conduct regular brand audits to ensure adherence to brand guidelines.
e. Implement & monitor brand and/or product deployment & initiatives and continuously re-evaluate results

• Manage the PR and Communications team to ensure:
a. Consistent & integrated roll out of corporate messages to media
b. Building relationships with media
c. Managing Crisis Situations to ensure timely proactive or counteraction plans protecting company’s image and best interest.
d. Planning and executing annual PR plan in line with the corporate marketing strategy
e. Planning and executing annual internal communication plan while ensuring its adherence to company’s brand guidelines
f. Unifying brand’s language & tone throughout all brand / product communication

• Manage the Events’ team to:
a. Manage external and internal events
b. Evaluate & execute sponsorships
c. Plan and Roll Out Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives / activities

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you should be a degree holder in marketing or a MBA holder with minimum 8 years of extensive experience (of which 3 years have been in the managerial position) as an in house marketing professional with background in events management, PR, Communications and Brand Management. Fluency in Arabic and English is highly required.
