Employment: Full Time

Our client is an established global Legal firm, who are recruiting for a Marketing and Business Development Executive on a 6 month maternity contract.

Our client is ideally looking for applicants to reside in Muscat (Salary: 800 - 1,000 OR) however would consider professionals are live in Dubai (Salary 15-16,000 AED) who are willing to commute.

Responsibilities:
- Producing pitches/ proposals and delivering/ managing experience statements. Promoting general pitch best practice from bid alert through to presentations and client debrief. Supporting/ liaising with the global BDM team with regard to regional/global pitch/ experience requests.
- Working with the ME Marketing Coordinator to manage CV's and website bios, ensuring that all FEs update information on a regular basis.
- Conducting research via the internet/ various databases/ other appropriate resources, on existing/ prospective clients/ potential opportunities/ industry and/or market trends, including competitor tracking, and regular reporting on the same to support target/ key client account management.
- Populating the ME Proposals Tracker with details of all relevant pitches and updating the tracker to record win/loss etc. Updating the Pitch Information Centre with CVs and relevant descriptions/ nuggets.
- Managing client events from start to finish and working closely with the MBD Coordinator/local Office Manager and wider BDM team, including, but not limited to management of venues/ materials/ attendees and feedback. Ensuring that FEs proactively contribute to invitation lists. Driving event briefings/ debriefs and managing feedback/ tracking follow-ups with target attendees.
- Working with FEs to manage the regional office client database/ facilitate the correct use of InterAction in supporting events. Ensuring that contacts are regularly updated and working with the ME Marketing Coordinator to provide training/ support to FEs/ secretaries as required.
- Negotiating discounted rates for FE attendance at conferences and third party events. Negotiating key sponsorship/ advertising deals as appropriate to fit within strategy and budget.
- Drive the production of tailored materials, including office brochures/ practice group experience statements - tasks include managing internal proof reading/ copywriting, coordinating the design processes with the MBD Coordinator and ensuring that relevant deadlines are met.
- Responsibility for collating and producing client alerts. Responsibility for proactively feeding through office news/ deals/ articles for publications such as regional/ global updates/ other alerts.
- Ensuring that the firm website is up to date and adequately reflects the skills/ experience of the regional offices, in particular the Muscat office.
- Working with the ME BDM team to ensure a constant supply of branded items are available for use across the region.
- Working closely with the ME BDM team coordinating the legal directory process, including managing relevant submissions/ interviews and tracking/ updating subsequent rankings.
- Working with the Global Press Office and ME BDM team to ensure that wins/ awards/ deals/ new laterals etc. are properly communicated, both internally and externally.
- Supporting regional groups in building profile, including proactively tracking opportunities with key legal and trade journals and sharing with FEs as appropriate.
- Share information and best practice with the ME BDM team and attend weekly meetings.
- Supporting strategic internal events including practice group/ regional FE retreats.
- Supporting regional practices/ offices BDM planning and budgeting, and subsequent delivery of BD initiatives.
- Supporting key regional cross-selling initiatives, including but not limited to individual practice group and wider global initiatives.

Requirements

- Marketing/Business Development experience within a Law firm Desirable or over 4 years experience within a professional services or Consultancy Environment.
- An appreciation of a partnership environment and specific issues affecting the delivery of Legal services. Ability to work effectively with and motivate partners and others.
- Strong project management skills with a pro-active approach. Solid experience in delivering quality proposals/bids.
- Ability to take responsibility for and lead projects. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Exceptional eye for detail and a good level of technical competence.
- Self-motivated and able to demonstrate determination and persistence. Good team player
