Employment: Full Time

Basic Function:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Marketing Manager across all Marketing initiatives for The Middle East.

The Marketing team is dedicated to reinforcing the company's image as a premium strategic and general management consulting firm.

Core Marketing activities include:
1. Developing reputation within the region: Building awareness and differentiated view of company through PR/media relations, content and editorial development, marketing communications and external events/conferences support
2. Client relationship management: enhancing our relationships with leaders in the GCC business community and their knowledge of our capabilities. Primarily executed through use of content development and mailings to support each Practice Area (PA) and/or Partners networking and marketing plans; requires database management, event creation and execution, and mailings
3. Global initiatives: Aligning ME with global Marketing initiatives and executing at a regional level e.g. Marketing Transformation
4. Supporting Business Development (BD): Working with the Client Portfolio Team to better link Marketing and BD activities

The Marketing team also is responsible for the development and execution of the ME alumni relations strategy and programme; internal communication with the ME offices; and developing and organizing the ME social events calendar.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Events:
Responsibility for events and conferences
Conception to completion for the organization of the events e.g. involvement in idea generation, manage invitational processes, drafting of event collateral, manage event suppliers, create internal buy-in, manage on-site delivery and create post event report and document learning's.
Build relationships with key conference organizers to support the new business development.
Coordinating conference logistics for staff, either as speakers or delegates e.g. booking tickets, assisting with logistics etc
Provide on the ground support at events/conferences as required

Media Relations:
Support on PR/Media Relations
Oversee media monitoring and tracking key competitors, clients/targets within regional press, and distributing relevant information and articles as appropriate
Consult on share of voice and key messaging in the media vs. competitors
Assisting Marketing Manager with developing local ME Media Pipeline based on global and local publication calendar and assist with executing outreach
Ad-hoc media initiative/event support

Alumni Relations
Support on Alumni Relations
Designing and executing a range of activities including networking events, direct mail and other ad hoc projects
Acting as the key point of contact for the alumni network, answering queries and requests
On-boarding new alumni members and managing their subscription/data on the contact management system
Monitoring, measuring and analyzing key metrics and reporting on key initiatives to the global alumni team
Participating in global and regional forums, positioning Middle East as a centre of excellence for the alumni programme
Organize and support Worldwide Alumni Day

Marketing & CRM initiatives

Worldwide Integrated Marketing Database (iMD)
Actively working with the marketing assistant in order to keep information clean and up to date
Help to implement worldwide policies and strategies in the Middle East offices
Participate in regional and global contact management/database calls
Generate usability and interaction reports

Coordinate client mailings
Organize and execute hard copy mailings and e-mailings including Eid cards, Christmas cards, publications etc, in close coordination with the Marketing Manager
Support the development and tracking of mailing lists
Ensure high attention to detail to ensure standards are met in all external communications e.g. drafting and proofing letters and text, use of logo and global branding guidelines

Publications
Keep up to date with latest content and topics to be able to help with publication requests from Middle East staff
Coordinate production/printing and roll out of any local publications in cooperation with Marketing Manager and Marketing team

Update ME Website
Uploading relevant information e.g. press releases
Support update to website coordinating any changes e.g. recent testimonials, job titles, photos etc

Internal Communication
Support on Internal Communication
Coordinating and drafting content for the bi-monthly OA Newsletter
Support Marketing Manager on ad-hoc projects as required

Critical to the role is the need to pitch in as much as needed during workload peaks

Requirements

Minimum 4 years Marketing work experience at a similar level, within professional services
A relevant undergraduate university degree
Resourcefulness and strong problem-solving capability
Independence: ability to take initiative and exercise sound business judgement
Very strong verbal communication skills
Strong team-spirit and resilience and ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
High degree of flexibility to accommodate a fast-paced environment
Strong service orientation and responsiveness to requests
High attention to detail
Ability to respect all company information as personal and confidential
Arabic speaker desirable but not essential
