In 2011, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said decreed the establishment of a new university dedicated to scholarship and research in science and technology with a mandate to expand the nation’s higher education capacity significantly and spur economic growth.

Our Client, the University of Oman Project (UOP) is the project phase of the University of Oman which is expected to become operational by August 2018.

The University of Oman Project seek to employ the services of a Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager to join its project team.

The successful candidate is expected among other things to:

• Spearhead initiatives to market the University of Oman effectively to a wide range of audience, such as potential students, faculty, staff, government organizations, partners and the media.

• Ensure that the content and presentation of all forms of corporate communication through traditional, social and web-based media are of consistently high quality.

• Provide strategic direction in the development and management of key events that would help achieve the University of Oman’s development objectives.

• Develop the University of Oman’s communications strategy to provide the framework for the operations of the Marketing & Communications unit.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Marketing or Mass Communications.

• Minimum of 15 years of experience including 7 years in a senior role in marketing, communications or public relations.

• Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of major marketing, communications and public relations projects or activities.

• Proficiency in Arabic and English Language is a must.
