CH2M HILL Master Planner - Riyadh, KSA

Job Purpose:
Master Planner to support the MODON Technical Group Manager and the MODON Technical Group (Category A)

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
The responsibilities/accountabilities of this role include demonstrating confidence, experience and keenness to learn in the following areas of delivery:
- Master planning
- Urban design
- Architecture
- Landscape design
- Provides project managing of design projects for both internal and external clients. Leading, taking records at progress meetings, presentations and workshops.
- Design and production of deliverables: Managing self and outputs but that of support staff to prepare high quality, modern looking documents that stands out from the peers due to their presentation style and reporting.
- Responding to ad hoc client and stakeholder requests: Quick turnaround for short planning, urban design exercises.
- Meeting and establishing relationships with local authorities.

Requirements

Job Requirements/Qualifications/Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in architecture, and/or urban design required
- Masters Degree in urban design, planning or development from a recognized western university preferred
- 15 years minimum professional experience
- Registered Architect or equivalent certification preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent preferred
- Predominant experience gained in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand; MENA and KSA experience is an advantage
- Sound knowledge of international best practices and demonstration of use of innovative techniques in urban design, urban planning, and sustainable development.
- Specific experience with urban planning, industrial, residential and mixed use development.
- Design centered but experienced as a team lead.
- Strong aptitude and ability to use software like Autocad, ArcGIS, Sketchup, Indesign, Photoshop, etc.
- Has been recognized as discipline Consultant.
- Must have thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures and specifications.
