The Master Technician, Crane, Rough Terrain & All Terrain Vehicle, will be responsible for, basic and advanced trouble shooting, diagnostic & repair activities across the assigned territory as per the instruction from the Workshop Supervisor / Maintenance Manager.

Key Accountabilities:

* Correctly diagnose and repair machine faults
* Familiar with electronic machine diagnostic equipment and other specialist tools.
* Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor to ensure that jobs are completed within stipulated manufacturers or local standard times.
* Responsible for the highest levels of work quality and customer satisfaction.
* Able to write Clear Field Service Reports after completion of each job and obtain customer approval/payment.
* Ability to conduct basic customer/operator familiarisation training on machine function and basic maintenance.
* Timely and accurate machine fault diagnosis and high level of 'first-time fix'.
* Recommend preventive maintenance and repair solutions to maximise machine uptime and reduce risk of breakdown.
* Ability to conduct duties in a workshop environment or independently travel to worksites in various locations.
* Awareness of Health & Safety and environmental impact of tasks performed, including adherence to all necessary safe working practices and guidelines.
* Should be able to understand and interpret maintenance and repair manuals, schematic drawings, hydraulic circuits, electrical circuits etc.

This is an important workshop role with key elements:

Correct first time repairs
Contribute to achieving workshop labour sales target in a highly pressured repair environment.
Assisting colleagues in ensuring repairs and tests are completed on time and correctly.
To ensure that repairs are carried out in accordance with best practice.

Requirements

In order to be successful in this role, you should have the following:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
Minimum; City & Guilds (or equivalent) - General & Heavy Motor Vehicle Studies with 6 years post certificate experience in the Mobile Crane maintenance & repair industry
Preferable: BTEC (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Studies with Higher National Certificate or Diploma in Heavy vehicle engineering with 6 years post certificate experience in the Heavy vehicle, Mobile Crane & construction/plant industry. Attendance and certification with named crane manufacturer technical course/s is highly preferable.
Note: A comprehensive knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems is essential

Minimum Experience:
You will have a relevant qualifications and excellent written & verbal English skills. Experience of working
in austere environment would be advantageous
