Employment: Full Time

The Material Analyst will ensure safety and be an active participant in a multicultural team focusing on the development of inventory and analytical processes for the SChem Plant.

This positions particular focus is the effectiveness and accuracy of the flow of inventory into and out of the warehouse. Assures warehouse operate in accordance with overall company policy. In addition the Material Analyst works closely with manufacturing, maintenance, stores personnel and suppliers to establish optimum inventory levels.

The Material Analyst will involve analysing, creating, inventory optimization, and requesting inventory updates. The successful candidate will be an advocate for safe work and housekeeping practices, be proficient in required computer skills, a self-starter/self-motivator and capable of working and communicating effectively with others.

- Manage current stock levels and making key decisions about stock control
- Leads and coordinates adding new item process (AWIR), evaluates new material request and provide recommendations to Purchasing Management
- Analyse and interpret trends to facilitate planning
- Approves vendor part number or material description changes in SAP for existing inventory.
- Provides trouble shooting and problem resolution support for storehouse processes.
- Identifies excess and obsolete inventory (MRB Review) and makes appropriate recommendations for removal. Coordinates sale of obsolete items with Surplus Vendor.
- Develops and reports performance metrics to Purchasing Management.
- Tracks repairable material that has been issued from the warehouse
- Oversees warehouses roles in the plant repairables process, including coordination with Repair Coordinator, Planned Orders, and Repairs Buyer to ensure the process flows efficiently and effectively.
- Manages MRP non released warehouse stock materials
- Respond to customer complaints and comments
- Responsible for performing Hazmat activities associated with preparation of all paperwork for transport carriers leaving our facility. This includes bills of lading, labels/placards, etc.
- Coordinate Stock Storage Locations
- Update Hazardous/Compatible chemical list
- Conduct SOX testing for cycle counting and the MRB process
- Assist purchasing and end user with material specifications and updates.
- Coordinate with delivery services for security ID creation
- Assist Turnaround Group for future requirements of materials for planned turnarounds.

Requirements

- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred Bachelor College Degree, (Business Administration)
- Demonstrate strong Presentation Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- SAP: 3+ years in SAP Materials Management experience
- 5+ years in Warehouse experience
- The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent leadership, interpersonal writing, and verbal communications skills.
