Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsible for the overall review and administration process of SAR, Review of Max/Min Levels and Inventory Optimization in line with the Company objectives to achieve operational excellence in plant operation in terms of reliability, productivity and provide essential support to the operational material requirements of the Company in a cost effective manner.

1. Review each SAR required to ensure that pre-defined approvals are available in SAP Workflow system and all necessary details have been provided by the user which is required for capturing quality information data with optimum accuracy and to avoid possible duplicate items.
2. Identify and assess implications of technological changes on the existing material descriptions and advises substitutes. Recognizes interchangeability of items and verifies the descriptions for the purpose of classification standardization and rationalization of materials.
3. Maintain Warehouse policies and procedures on a regular basis and makes recommendations for changes when opportunities are identified for inventory cost reductions, ensuring at all times that overall inventory support for the Companys operations is maintained.
4. Analyse new and existing items to evaluate the proper Inventory holding and Ordering cost and provide suitable recommendation to reduce the inventory values and increase material efficiency and availability.
5. Coordinate in Max/Min review and update process based on the consumption trend and number of purchase orders issued and provide recommendations to increase the Max/Min levels of fast moving stock items and to review and decrease the Max/Min levels of the items which have not moved at all during specified period to ensure that stock levels are adequately maintained and provide essential support to operational requirements of the company in a cost-effective manner.
6. Establish system and review inventory stock items on regular basis to ensure the eliminations of duplicate stock items. Investigates problems with stock movement such as continuously low stock levels, high values or slow moving items and present written reports on findings, together with recommendations for improvements.
7. Provides SAR familiarization training to end user departments and conduct customized training to Warehouse staff and its contractors related to the Warehouse business process.
8. Develop Material Cataloguing requirements in line with company requirements and international standards/best practice and provide recommendation to achieve greater effectiveness and cost reduction to be realized.
9. Recommendation for alternate material options and new products details from suppliers/local agents and evaluates its acceptance in coordination with users which have commercial and operational benefit to the company.
10. Contributes to technical evaluation/technical concurrence for Agreement Items and routine procurement process on as and when required basis. Assist with review and recommendation of vendor certification such as pressure tests, material test certification, etc. Indicates test, inspection and vendor documentation requirement for various material requests.

Requirements

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience in materials stock control environment within the oil and gas sector with considerable exposure to materials planning and inventory management systems.
- Exposure with materials warehousing management system, including knowledge of SAP.
- Proficient written and oral English skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member.
- Computer literacy especially (MS Office packages).
