Job description / Role
Established Multi National design and build consultancy in Dubai have a wide range of projects in their portfolio. Diversifying in recent years from their Interior Fit out portfolio, they are winning new build projects : Commercial Towers, Residential Towers, Retail and Hospitality spaces now compliment their wide range of large corporate interior fit out projects.
Currently they are recruiting for the MEP division and are looking for a talented Design Mechanical Engineer to join their Dubai team.
These professionals will be responsible for design of mechanical systems across new build projects and interior fit across, attend some client meetings, and drive a small team of CAD Drafters.
This individual will be able to work autonomously producing building service design, reporting into the Lead Mechanical Engineer.
Working within fast track project deadlines, this individual will exercise strong technical knowledge to coordinate with inter-discipline colleagues and external consultants and contractors.
Requirements
This individual will have around 10 years post graduation experience from a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering and the majority of these years will be working in a Design capacity for a Design consultant or Design and build operation.
Most recently this professional will have been based in the Middle East, Ideally currently in Dubai and having designed and delivered a range of project types: retail, commercial corporate fit outs, hospitality projects – New Build and Fit out.
Expertise using AutoCAD, (Revit would be advantageous), excellent knowledge of Dubai/Abu Dhabi Building regulations and a proven track record working within a Design consultancy in a Design capacity is required.
The ability to manage a small team of CAD drafters is ideal, or to grow into this role.
Excellent English communication skills are required, written and oral, as this individual will be representing this consultancy to clients and external parties.
Team orientated personality and work ethic is Essential.
