Job description / Role
We have been appointed to recruit the Site Supervision team for a Major Regional Airport Expansion Project.
At the moment the project in confidential until we have the mobilization dates and manpower program in place. The first draft of appointments will be from December 14th 2014.
As such we are looking to appoint a number of disciplines to the scheme to act as the Lead Site team for the Engineers and designers and represent the client in the delivery of the project.
The project is a New Build and Extension Terminal Building to allow for increased passenger capacity.
We have a Mechanical Engineer Specialist role to manage and advise on the Mechanical systems, Integration, Commissioning and operation of key Mechanical services associated with major modern Airport Terminal facilities and take the construction stage through to successful delivery and handover.
Advising on specialist systems in Mechanical services for major projects , from BMS, HVAC integration of Mechanical systems, HWS, CHWS, PHE, CWS, LPHW, AHU's, baggage systems, Public health.
Implementing, developing, and managing efficient and robust contract administration and risk mitigation processes for the MEP department.
Effectively managing the project throughout the lifecycle including, commissioning, installation, testing, and sign off stages whilst ensuring safety and quality control at all times.
Building and maintaining cooperative relationships with key stakeholders and client contacts up to board level, and resolving any historical disagreements in order to achieve a positive project conclusion.
Construction sequencing and technical support to the construction team.
Provide leadership to the construction team and ensure they have all the necessary support to complete the works.
Weekly and monthly planning incorporating resource requirements from both subcontractors and direct labour.
Evaluation of subcontractors to ensure suitability for the works to be executed.
Health & Safety management, risk assessment and method statement reviews and approvals.
Preparation of reports to senior management.
Risk management appraisal and mitigation action.
Attend and chair progress meetings of all subcontractors under my control.
Design coordination and shop drawing approvals.
Requirements
Requirements:
Candidates must have a degree in Building Services Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering.
Candidates must have 12--15 years Construction Industry Experience within Mechanical Services.
Candidates must have Mechanical services delivery experience on modern Airport Terminals.
