About the Business

Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL Mechanical Engineer (Site Based) - Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose: The role is for a Mechanical Site Engineer and will oversee and supervise General Mechanical Construction Activities (mainly piping systems, pumps, instruments, etc.)

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Monitoring and inspection of general mechanical construction work in accordance with quality requirements in accordance with quality requirements, method statements and contract documents including drawings and specifications Review and comment on change order requests, shop drawings, requests for information/clarification, and vendors' submittals.

- Assist in preparation of daily, weekly and monthly progress reports Experience in Commissioning and start up trouble shooting. Liaison with Utility Authorities on a technical basis Liaise with the contractor on all construction related matters.

- Review and approve As-Built-Drawings Maintain photo and written diaries to record daily works.

Requirements

Job Requirements/Qualifications/Experience:

- BS in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 7 years of experience.

- Experience in the construction of Water and Waste water treatment facilities and in general infrastructure systems.

- Experience in managing construction contracts.

- Excellent communication, presentation, writing and presentation skills in English.

- Written and spoken Arabic skills are beneficial but not essential.

- Enthusiastic about improving the safety performance of site operations.

- Able to communicate effectively with site teams and motivate them to meet the project objectives.

- KSA experience is preferred.
