Mechanical Engineer (Static Equipment)

Job description / Role

Faststream Recruitment are working with Aramco Overseas Company, the overseas arm of the Saudi Arabian national oil company, Saudi Aramco. We are currently seeking a mechanical engineer (static equipment) to be based in Sharjah, working on the upgrade and expansion of the MGSE Project. This position offers the right person the chance to be working with a market leader in the Oil & Gas sector, and will be forming part of the PMC team on a major project. As such, we are looking for a talented individual with sound experience on similar projects, preferably with knowledge of Aramco systems and processes.

The job holder will be a subject matter expert, able to call upon a demonstrable track record, with vast knowledge and excellent experience within mechanical engineering. Experience will be within a lead, principal or managerial capacity within the industry, whilst previous dealings with Saudi Aramco will be highly valued, either as a direct hire, or as part of an EPC team working on an Aramco project.

On offer is a competitive hourly rate, coupled with a long term, secure contract. Relocation packages are available for candidates outside of a reasonable commuting distance from Sharjah

Requirements

- Design, specification, selection, vendor drawing reviews and testing services relating to oil and gas static equipment: Static Equipment: Heat Exchangers, Steam Traps, Furnaces,pressure vessels, Distilling Columns and Piping Systems with its associated appurtenances.
- Review design deliverables
- Participate in the engineering reviews and reviewing datasheets and material requisitions.
- Participate in safety activities
- Participate in Peer Assists, Peer Reviews, HSSE reviews and Value Improving Workshops
- Liaise with Operations to ensure that maintainability issues are addressed in the design process
- Work with design Contractor's Interface Engineers to ensure that interfaces are well controlled
- Flexible to accept travel to different countries when the job requires
