The Role


The Role


Reporting directly into the Project Manager within the Water/Waste Water Department this is a challenging role for an International Consultancy.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing expert advice to the client on all M&E matters, liaison with supervision personnel and advise on M&E matters during construction activities.

The drafting of new updates to the existing M&E specification clauses

Review and tender the Contract documents prepared for M&E work prior to Tender invitation and award,

Assist in the preparation of reports and budget estimate for M & E work

Liaise with clients to obtain feedback on M&E matters,

Assist in matters regarding building permits on M&E issues

Liaison with the design section on all technical aspects with regards to M&E matters and updating specifications

Responsible for hydraulic design and selection of M&E materials and fittings

To be responsible for the preparation of design, specification and tender documents for all M &E work

Requirements


A good knowledge of surge analysis and surge suppression
A good knowledge and requirement in material selection eg:- pumps, valves etc

Minimum 15 years dealing with M&E aspects of Public Health Engineering including pumping stations and sewage treatment works.

Experience of specification writing, design, site installation and commissioning.
Experience in projects involving government departments; public and private organizations.
B.Sc. in Mechanical
Chartered Member of recognised Institution
Familiar with the various types of international conditions of contract e.g. FIDIC
