The RoleThe Role• Responsible for reviewing the detailed design of specifications for Mechanical aspects, such as:- pipelines, pumping stations, flow control stations, regulating tanks, Valves , HVAC and Welding ….etc. • Supervision of the construction of major water supply system for supplying water to major cities and agricultural projects. • Supervision of mechanical works of the main facilities of the project including pipelines, pumping stations, flow control stations, regulating tanks, Valves , HVAC and Welding ….etc. • Act as the center of excellence for the company on Mechanical engineering. • Receive contractors Mechanical Works design proposals, review them critically and issue approvals or otherwise. • Hold design co-ordination meetings with contractors. • Review contractor submitted specifications and procedures. • Review contractors Mechanical Works design drawings. • Will be required to attend in process inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests and recommend acceptance to the client. |
RequirementsRequirements• Mechanical Engineer will be expected to have a good understanding of the sequence of works for water projects. • Managing of Mechanical works in an efficient and effective manner to meet the needs of project. • A good understanding and ability to utilise the various Microsoft Office Packages are expected. • Good communication skills are a pre-requisite in both oral and written form. This is a Client and Contractor facing role. Therefore the ability to communicate at all project levels is necessary. • A good understanding of using Design Standards ( PSI, ASTM ……ETC.) |
