Job description / Role
To work in MAN Diesel & Turbo - Qatar Navigation on two-stroke & four-stroke diesel engines as well as turbochargers.
Applicant should be experienced, professional, confident and flair for working independently.
Working on-board vessel and/or power plant.
Diesel Engines (Slow, Medium & High speed).
Disassembly, reassembly, overhaul and reconditioning of MAN two-stroke and/or four stroke engines.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience as a Mechanical Foreman in similar position working on-board vessel and/or power plant with proven leadership qualification
- Sound knowledge of MAN two-stroke engines and/or MAN four- stroke engines.
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a Mechanical Technician or Fuel Pump Specialist in similar position working on-board vessel and/or power plant.
- Basic work experience on Diesel Engines (Slow, Medium & High speed) and preferable, sound knowledge of MAN two-stroke and/or four stroke engines.
- Workshop experience in disassembly, reassembly, overhaul and reconditioning of MAN two-stroke and/or four stroke engines. Must have experience in repairing/overhauling of fuel systems and with two-stroke and/or four stroke cylinder head etc.
