This posting is for a Mechanical Lead position for Saudi Chevron Phillips Chemical Company (S-Chem) in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
This position reports to the maintenance supervisor, the successful candidate will be a key member of a team dedicated to the development, planning, and effective execution of plants maintenance activities.
He is responsible for the safe and effective execution of major fixed equipment maintenance activities on various plants units (Aromax/Ethylene/Styrene/Utilities).
He is the primary point of maintenance activities for the coordination of all mechanical maintenance activities for execution.
He will lead and work with a dynamic team of professionals who are accountable for: scope development, long lead material procurement, maintenance activities planning and schedule creation and progress reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities:-
• Safety Leader is the No.1 Priority.
• Providing safe execution plans of Maintenance activities and complying with safety work procedures/ processes.
• Ensuring work practices are in compliance with safety & environmental procedures. Identify hazards and other safety considerations associated with completing the work scope and include actions & measures directly in the plan to mitigate any such hazards.
• Create maintenance activities packages and relationships to develop a maintenance activities schedule, integrating maintenance activities plans and performing critical path analysis.
• Identify the required resources to complete the work: manpower, equipment, tooling & facilities.
• Identify and place orders for parts and consumables required including long lead parts requirements.
• Identify and include in the plans all maintenance activities related document maintenance activities including quality control & support group requirements.
• Perform maintenance activities close-out activities including order closures with history, parts management and capturing learning's.
• Active involvement in safety programs within the site.
• Plan the field execution with available manpower and Coordination of multiple discipline maintenance leaders.
• Coordinating logistics and utilization of materials and equipment associated with maintenance activities.
• Work with management on contracting strategy alignment.
• Support cost tracking organization to forecast maintenance activities based on changes to scope and schedule updates.
• Work with others departments/ organization on deliverables required for maintenance activities planning.
• Support execution organization during downtime planning discovery (incoming) work and analyzing schedule impacts.
• Identify and implement opportunities for mechanical efficiencies in execution of maintenance activities.
• Step-up as a maintenance supervisor/area in-charge during the plant shut downs, Turnarounds or vacations.
• Work-up for supervisor as required.
• Determine and resolve worst actors.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or High school with 10 years’ experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in plant-based maintenance planning/scheduling in the refinery, petrochemical, or chemical industry
• Good knowledge with hands-on experience on the maintenance of rotating, fixed equipment, and instrumentation
• Proficiency in SAP system.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Project
• Team player with good communication skills
