Job description / Role
Our client is a Major Oil and Gas Operator, with global assets, and is a key stake holder in many major projects within the Middle East. They are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be part of their growing operations in Qatar.
The role
The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance of CRANE equipment and ensure timely completion of activities to the specified relevant standards and specifications.
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer your main duties will involve:
- Function as an onshore technical focal point for the Crane and Lifting equipment.
- Organising spare parts for all Crane and Lifting equipment
- Accountable for maintenance cost and updating of stock cards within area of responsibility.
- Implementation of planned, preventive maintenance procedures and guidelines to Maximizing reliability of the equipment.
- Support to the onshore and offshore organisation on Crane and Lifting equipment related issues.
- Liaising with contractors and vendors to maintain a cost effective and high quality service.
- Keeping up to date on the technical development within the area of responsibility
Requirements
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you will have:
- HND / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
- Upstream Oil and Gas industry experience with Crane and Lifting equipment.
- The candidate must be a team player, initiative, and self-motivating, enterprising, systematic, goal oriented and energetic.
- Experience of working in a highly safety focused environment.
