The RoleThe RoleSupervise the works of relevant mechanical (HVAC / PH/FF / Utilities) Contractors to insure quality and that constructions/installations are in accordance with drawings, specifications and local regulations. - Follow quality assurance procedures for review and inspection of installations throughout the project period. - Assist in the review of materials to ensure that they are in accordance with the specifications and provide feedback to the Senior Site Mechanical Engineer (SSME) - Assist in the review of shop drawings to ensure that they are in accordance with the design and that they are coordinated and provide feedback to the SSME for his action. - Attend coordination meetings and anticipate potential problem areas and solve them before they occur. - Assist in reviewing method statements and provide feedback to the SSME for his action. - Prepare job site instructions for the SSME to action to facilitate the contractor's progress. - Review and approve installations and constructions via the SSME - Inspect deliveries/installed/constructed work to ensure that it is in accordance with the shop drawings and the specifications and provide feedback to the SSME for his action. - Meet with local authorities to facilitate processing of submittals by the Contractor and arrange site visits as necessary for authorities to inspect the works to ensure compliance with their requirement. - Issue field observation report and none compliance reports (NCR). - Witness testing and commissioning of various plant and systems and provide feedback to the SSME/RE. - Snag defects / outstanding minor work for the Contractor to action and follow up on their progress and provide feedback to the SSME/RE. - Review 'As Built Drawings' and Operation and Maintenenace manuals to ensure correctness, completeness and that they are in-line with the specifications. |
RequirementsRequirements- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. - Minimum 8 years of experience - Experienced in building projects - Good experience in HVAC or PL/FF - Supervise the works of relevant mechanical (HVAC/PH/FF/Utilities) Contractors to insure quality and that constructions/installations are in accordance with drawings, specifications and local regulations. |
