We currently have a need for a Mechanical Supervisor for a petrochemical project site based in Salalah, Oman.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

Prepare requisition, specifications and review vendors’ documents and co-ordinate works between vendors and other discipline engineers within the organization

Chair meetings with specialists contractors & vendors, prepare & issue Minutes of Meetings and coordinate follow-up actions

Provide input to weekly and monthly progress reports

Coordinate between contractors and designer on technical aspects /RFI’s

Provide relevant input to project planning/scheduling and cost controls reporting

Requirements


Requirements


Recognised Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years experience in both engineering design and construction aspects of Oil & Gas, Petrochemical projects.

Specific experience in process and utility equipment such as reactors, pressure vessel, heat exchanger, storage tank and other mechanical equipment installation, testing and commissioning.

Thorough experience in high temperature and high pressure piping fabrication and installation works to specified quality standards and controlling quality of works

Familiar with the requirement of International Codes and Standards, such as API, ASME, BS, ANSI, etc and thorough knowledge in welding standards of CS and SS.
