Mechanical Technician

Job description / Role

- Carryout skilled maintenance works independently in the repair, assembly, alignment of mechanical equipment like exchangers, vessels, columns, boilers, structures and able to fabricate pipe work from isometric drawings.
- To be able to identify piping specs, gaskets, bolt nuts, valves etc and able to carryout the work on all the piping.
- Operates simple M/C tools such as grinding machines, drilling machines, impact wrenches etc.
- Able to take precision measurement using depth gauges, micrometer, vernier calipers etc. and must be able to work to very close tolerances.
- Prepares sketches/brief reports such as alignment, finished dimensions etc.

Requirements

- Completion of Technical Secondary education (12 years) / Apprenticeship Certificate or equivalent.
- The candidate should have a minimum experience of 8 years in maintaining and overhauling Diesel engines.
- Fair knowledge of spoken and written English.
