Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The prospective candidate will have the following responsibilities:

- Develop and implement the media process to drive solutions with tangible results

- Align with global media guidelines and regional business strategies, formulate and write clear & achievable media objectives as well as detailed media briefs, such as:

- Consumer insights

- Media targeting

- Business/marketing information

- Ensure media investments are aligned with brand strategy and image

- Influence the input/output of the media agency in order to deliver innovative and cost effective solutions to the media briefs

- Maintain agency relationships in regards to scope of work, fees, adhoc projects and effective solutions

- Produce 4-5 case studies annually to demonstrate innovation and effectiveness of our media ideas

- Work closely with other departments such as CRM, Internet and PR as well as working closely with Brand Managers too.

- Meet with media owners and build strong relations with the media

- Optimise market information by monitoring the activities of competitors, ensuring optimum coverage and frequency for each media plan and market research for certain products.

- Collect information on internal and external markets by defining relevant benchmarks, in depth brand equity study and good understanding of the right audience

Requirements

The prospective candidate will be required to possess the following attributes in order to be suitable for the position:

- Relevant University degree qualification (or equivalent)

- Fluent in Arabic and English. French is preferred.

- Must show indication of excellent relations with media agencies and media owners

- Strong negotiation skills

- Strong strategic and analytical approach with excellent interpersonal skills

- Ensure qualitative coverage and visibility of the brand

- Have the ability to manage direct reportees effectively

- Reporting to the Managing Director
