The Media and Analyst Relations lead will work to direct integrated media and analyst relations efforts across the region.

The candidate will drive media and analyst relations across the Middle East for Accentures industries and portfolio of businesses. The role includes development and promotion of campaigns in the media to help prepare the landscape for lead generation and sales. The media and analyst relations lead is expected to work with Middle East leadership and marketing teams, as well as the global corporate media and analyst relations teams.

This PR and executive communications lead will be responsible for improving the focus, quality and frequency of media coverage; strengthening the approach to managing Accenture's interaction with the media; incorporating media relations into the teams marketing efforts; and improving Accenture's external profile within relevant industries.

The candidate is expected to possess excellent writing skills, have a good knowledge of business and technology media, be able to offer sound professional advice and be able to develop and execute a range of media and analyst strategies. The role includes management of a PR agency. The individual will report to the Media Relations lead for the region.

The person in this role will:
- Have a keen understanding of the key issues and trends affecting a broad range of business operations, but in particular those business trends driven by technology and digital.
- Be a proactive, strategic thinker focused on generating trade, non-traditional media, and tier-one media coverage in support of Accenture in the Middle East
- Be capable of managing a long term content rich campaign across multiple geographic markets and industry sectors
- Possess strong communications skills, with the ability to reduce complex topics into clear concise messaging; including exceptional writing and editing skills for audiences ranging from general to business to the more technical (press releases, talking points, Q&A, and other PR collateral) with emphasis on business strategy and processes
- Have the creativity and initiative to drive media results
- Have the ability to function effectively within a matrixed organization and support Accenture approach to teamwork and collaboration
- Provide counsel to Middle East and global media and analyst relations colleagues and other key internal stakeholders.
- Manage and develop professional working relationships with key journalists and clients.
- Provide media training for our spokespeople where necessary.
- Work closely and manage relationships with our PR agency.

The PR role is very varied and some of the tasks often involve, but are not limited to:
- Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies;
- Liaising with colleagues and key spokespeople;
- Liaising with and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations, often via telephone and email;
- Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media in liaison with Accentures media agency and the corporate PR team;
- Collating and analyzing media coverage with the help of Accentures media agency;
- Engaging with journalists on social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook;
- Helping manage crisis communications in relation to the media.

Requirements

- Experience in Corporate Communications/Media Relations
- Masters Degree or equivalent.
- 8+ years experience working in a Corporate or Agency environment, Multinational experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Desire to work in an information systems environment
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills in English and Arabic
- Excellent leadership and management skills
