Job description / Role
- Manage the Medical Quality and Performance unit and serve on the Medical Advisory Committee.
- Contribute to the development of companys medical quality and performance strategy and manage its implementation.
- Develop and implement a department strategy according to the company strategy, set departmental and operational goals and initiate measures to reach these goals and to improve the overall department performance.
- Accountable for a results-oriented management overlooking and considering cross-departmental performance/results.
- Develop strategies for monitoring and reporting on provider quality and linking payment to performance (through evidence-based reimbursement)
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Medicine or Healthcare
- 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including health insurance with more than 5 years of experience in a management position handling teams
Licensure / Certification Requirements
- Certification in medical coding systems (CPT-4, ICD-9, )
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) is preferred
