The RoleThe RoleThe position holder will require a high degree of IT technical expertise, so it is preferable if the person possesses a retail/buying/merchandising background, but not essential. A good technical IT person with office based expertise (e.g. in an accounting or marketing function) would be sufficient. Responsibilities: Building and maintaining purchase order cycle database for use by merchandising, freight management and warehouse on a shared drive. Building and maintain a supplier database housing supplier contact information and terms of trade. Building various ordering and replenishment models for replenishing re-orderable merchandise like perfume, cosmetics, books, and stationery. Developing a suite of management reports using Retail Pro possibly by automatic download into a Microsoft Access database |
RequirementsRequirementsTechnical Skill Requirements: Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills macro level and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming language. Advanced Microsoft Access skills same level as above. SQL (standard query language) programming skills. |
