The RoleThe RoleGUESS is a globally recognised high fashion brand offering the latest trends in accessories, womens, mens and childrens fashions.With over 70 stores located around the GCC this is a great opportunity to become part of a dynamic work environment and get involved in the expansion and future growth of this exciting brandWe are currently looking to recruit a Merchandiser to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for: * Producing a weekly, sales and stock intake plan(WSSI) every week  * Accountable for collating sales, intake and COR information to produce an accurate WSSI every week. * Maintaining stock cover for the respective area and have an understanding of forward estimation * Attaining a basic understanding of sales and the reduction concept, using historical sales figures and experience of the local markets/fashion trends, preventing financial loss to the company and controlling the cost of reduction * Understanding the company's pricing policy and working towards achieving marginal targets * Taking feedback from the store-based managers especially with regard to customer feedback on products to help with continued selection of the right product* Monitor the weekly and cumulative actual sales mix based on forward estimate mix on a dept level and propose the impact this will have on the WSSI stock levels* Maintain awareness of new store openings and the impact this has on the WSSI stock covers. |
RequirementsRequirementsTo be successful in winning this role, you will be able to demonstrate:* 3Â years of Merchandising experience* Excellent communication skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office - specifically Excel * Knowledge of programming Language (Foxpro, SQL, Oracle, Visual Basic etc..)* Degree / Diploma in Fashion Designing * Retail awareness and passion for fashion industry * Planning and organizing skills * Analytical skills |
