Employment: Full Time

Merchandise Financial, Strategic and Assortment Planning
- Maximise sales and profitability for the department/category
- Prepare and maintain department/category merchandise MIS analytics based on actual sales, sales history and forecasts, covers, company order parameters, inventory checks, forthcoming events, addressing replenishment needs and drawing conclusions from analysis of data
- Assist in discussing:
- Financials: Sales, Stock, Margins, Forward Cover, Sell throughs, trackers, Managing OTB by category o Store: Subgroup levels sales, Order quantities, rebalancing, Replenishment o Assortment: Apply logical reasoning in terms of pricing by category, supplier, planning markdown activity, updations
- Where possible reorder best sellers
- Ensure that the standards of Merchandise procedures and methodologies are maintained and kept consistent Regular store visits to liaise with Territory Operations Teams

Inventory Stock Optimization
- Liaising with Territory Inventory Teams to ensure optimum category stock levels are maintained at Concept/Territory keeping in mind store requirements as well as working within capital constraints Ensure that stock is managed and out of stocks/excess stock risks are minimized through effective merchandise planning
- Responsible for ensuring shipments are processed, cleared and hit their desired locations in a timely manner

Promotional Activity
- Help analyse the effectiveness of the promotions in achieving the targeted levels of sales and margins
- Help analyse the existing stock levels and liaise with Product Manager/Concept VM/Marketing team for timely roll out of promotional campaigns to maintain the Territory/Warehouse inventory holding norms as well, to achieve targeted sales
- Forecasting sales for category promotions utilizing historical data Setting guidelines for department/category promotions Analysis of sales performance during promotional periods to measure impact on sales and margins

In Season Management
- Ensure performance is monitored against plan for the assigned category/department, regularly supported by exception reporting
- Ensure effective in season management of the assigned category/department through regular analysis and action planning across Concept and Territory, based on the performance of the following anchors:
- Sales vs Stock o Inflows/OTB
- Stock Analysis o Stock Balancing
- Margin Analysis o WSSIs management o Worst sellers

People Management
- Support and provide guidance for Assistant Merchandisers
- Monitor trainee development

Requirements

- Relevant experience in the retail sector
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with the fashion/apparel category is preferred
- Excellent excel skills

Salary level offered is equivalent to AED 6000 pm
