Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Establishes and develops new material grades.
- Develops & implements heat treatment cycle
- Carries out failure analysis related to metallurgical issues and accordingly suggest improvement actions.
- Ensures constant improvement on the melting practice to optimize the defect level related to Melting
- Follows up on the VOD processes.
- Reviews the casting Process sequence from start to final product for continuous improvement.
- Develops effective procedure and process for the exotic materials such as Nickel alloys, duplex and Super duplex.
- Provides Metallurgical support to the operation team to enable best techniques implementation for the casting production process.
- Follows up on the HTM cycle and ensure that parameters have maintained as per quality plan.
- Coordinates effectively with the Operation and QC team reduce percentage rejection in the metallurgy side.
- Supports root cause analysis and corrective actions for the NCRs both internal and External.
- Establishes effective Quality plan for the customer special PO requirements
- Supports the RCCM process where ever applicable.
- Carries out the Process audit on key process like Melting, Heat Treatment, Welding, and Moulding as per the audit plan.

Requirements

- B. Tech or M. Tech on Metallurgy / Material science or Equivalent.
- Minimum 7 to 10 years Experience from the sand steel casting industry
- Knowledge in Heat treatment, melting and welding
- Hands on Experience on the Metallurgical equipment such as Microscope, UTM, PMI,
- Hands on Experience on casting failure analysis.
- Hands on experience in Melting furnace.
