The Role


The Role


This is a permanent role working on site with a very prestigious company, a global strategic partner to Cisco. Our client has offices in over 40 countries, and delivers some of the most advanced high profile NGN projects in the world. They were named Cisco's Global Enterprise Partner of the Year in 2006 and 2007. This opportunity involves the following;

• Administration of SCOM, SCCM servers, Active Directory and Windows Server 2003
• Monitor and maintain SCOM and SCCM environment
• Trouble shooting and reporting on SCOM servers & configuration of management packs
• Hardware and software installations
• Event filtering according to customer environment
• Exchange administration
• Active Directory administration
• SCOM administration
• System Maintenance

• Administer all SCOM services
• Analysis and report on the server environment utilising SCOM
• Operationally maintain the SCOM environment and databases
• Filter unnecessary SCOM alerts
• Capacity/availability reports utilising SCOM
• Engage with back office resources to streamline solution
• Maintain SCOM environment security
• Recommendations and forecasting
• Maintain the SCCM SQL database
• Maintain the SCCM hierarchy, groups and queries
• Track events errors and trouble-shooting job failures reported by operators
• Patch & S/W distribution using SCCM
• Software deployment using SCCM
• SCCM Agent troubleshooting
• SCCM Report generation
• Updating and maintaining process and procedures
• Exchange/ Active directory

Requirements

• MUST HAVE A TRANSFERABLE IQAMA VISA
• MCSE 2003 certification (SCCM and SCOM a must have)
• Extensive working knowledge of SCOM 2000/2005
• SQL 2000 experience - Required
• Extensive working knowledge of Windows 2003
• ITIL knowledge - Foundation
• SCOM 2005 course - (certification an advantage)
• SCCM 2003 course
• Accurate compilation of documentation for the SCCM environment
• Experience working on Microsoft environment (minimum 3 years)
