Job description / Role

Midwife - Dubai, UAE - 17,000 - 25,000 AED Monthly

Our client, based in Dubai, UAE have asked us to assist in the hire of a Midwife.

Role:
- To provide the necessary supervision, care and advice to women during pregnancy, labour and postpartum period, to conduct deliveries on her own responsibility, and to care for the newborn and the infant.
- Promotes health and provides education to the woman and her family.
- Provides safe and effective Antenatal, Intrapartum and Postnatal care.
- Provides safe and effective care of the newborn.
- Performs care in line with policies, procedures and standards.
- Ensure own professional needs are met by acquiring and maintaining current.
- Knowledge in clinical practice.
- Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality client care.
- Performs other job-related duties and unit based competencies as assigned.

Requirements

- Graduate from an accredited Nursing program of a minimum duration of three (3) years and a post graduate degree in Midwifery (minimum (12) month duration)
OR
- Bachelor Midwifery (undergraduate degree of no less than 3 yrs duration)
- Current valid registration in country of training and or country of last employment
- Minimum two (2) years post graduate experience as a clinical midwife

Knowledge / Technical Skills
- Application of a midwifery model of evidence based care in collaboration with the woman, her newborn and family
- Involvement of Patient and Family in Care
- Care Delivery
- Maintenance of Care Records
- Management of Resources in a Cost-Efficient Manner
