Mobile Technician

Job description / Role

The ideal candidate will have played a key role in supporting, configuring, installing and troubleshooting end-user devices including but not limited to Laptops, Desktops, Printers, iPhone, Android devices, Blackberry, windows phones, tablets, smart TVs etc

Candidates must be able to demonstrate skills in the following technologies:
- Ability to assemble, disassemble, diagnose, repair, service and update desktop PCs, laptops, netbooks and All-in-One units running the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems
- Experience in data recovery tools for recovering data from damaged laptops, desktops, smart phones, tablets etc.
- Experience in data transfer (including but not limited to contacts, pictures, messages, profiles, Apps etc.) tools between smart phones
- Expert knowledge and troubleshooting experience of various smart phones operating systems i.e. iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows phone 8 and Symbian
- Experience in installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Smart TVs e.g. Samsung, Toshiba, LG etc.

Requirements

- 2 - 4 years of experience in a technical capability preferably working for an IT/Telecom services organisation
- Good degree level qualification in a Computer Science or related field is preferable, but not required
- Experience of different mobile devices backup management, data transfer between mobile devices.
- Experience in different Mobile Operating Systems installation, patching, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience in configuration and troubleshooting of different Smart devices e.g. Smart TV, Apple, tablets etc
- Manages support tasks, with attention to detail and while under pressure in a high profile client engagement model
- Demonstrable experience of involvement within end user installation driven implementations
- Technical deployment understanding of troubleshooting methodologies, steps and tools
- Hands-on expertise in using various troubleshooting tools for data transfer and/or configuration
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills; capable of writing technical documentation, if required and end client interaction
- Can do attitude and technical savvy and willing to go the extra mile and not shirk from a challenge
- CompTIA A+ and/or Mobility+ certified or/and any vendor specific certifications e.g. MCP for Windows 7/8, iOS, Android, Samsung, Dell, HP etc
