Job description / Role
Saudi Networkers Services seeks a Mobility Network Consulting Engineer to join the Mobility CoE in EMEAR to help customers maximize network availability and functionality to achieve their business goals. The NCE delivers the technologies; solutions and services customers need to expertly manage their networks. In this role, you will be working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment as a visible contributor delivering on our commitments. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver, comfortable with challenging the status quo and rapidly responding to escalated issues. With a seasoned mix of broad networking knowledge and specific area expertise, as well as excellent customer skills, you're well positioned to become a trusted advisor capable of building solid, long-term relationships with customers.
Common Responsibilities:
- Provide Planning, Designing, Implementation, Operation and Optimization services for Mobility solutions.
- Support the development and delivery of Cisco Advanced Services deliverables.
- Performs analysis and diagnosis of highly complex networking problems.
- Performs analysis of highly complex network designs.
- Builds simulated networks in test labs to resolve highly complex problems and compatibility issues.
The NCE may perform any of the following components of the role breakdown depending on specific engagements.
Project Engineering role:
- Participate in the preparation of proposals and Statements of Work.
- Generates standard project documentation including Customer Requirements Documents, High Level Design, Low-Level designs or detailed test plan for highly complex networks.
- Generates network configurations from Low Level Design for highly complex networks.
- Plans and executes highly complex Network Upgrade and Network Migration activity.
- Provide informal knowledge training on technical topics or related deliverables
Proactive Service & Support:
- In support of Cisco Advanced Services NOS delivery lead Software Strategy, Proactive Software Recommendations and periodic critical defect analysis reviews
- Conduct Network, platform and technology stability audits
- Develop Network Improvement Plans
Reactive Service & Support:
- Troubleshoots and resolves highly complex customer network problems across a broad range of technologies.
- Acts as a focal point for highly complex network problem resolution.
Advanced Services Technology Specialization Teams:
- Provides training to other NCE's as well as real-time escalation response for support issues.
- Owns responsibility for driving regional Advanced Services projects.
Requirements
- Skills on SPGW/GGSN
- Skills on SGSN/MME
- Gx/Gy and corporate APNs knowledge
- At least 3 years of experience on Cisco MPC solution or EPC
- 1 or 2 swap deployment experience
- Attending QvPC training is a plus
As well as in ONE of the following, and strong knowledge in all other areas of: IP internetworking, Wireless, LAN Switching, QoS, Nexus, MPLS, Network Security. WAN protocols (MPLS, Ethernet). IP Routing protocols (IGRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
- In-depth internetworking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment.
- The key area of focus on this role will be Mobility and Datacenter.
- Undertake support as designated Advanced Services engineer for large-scale networks.
- Must possess strong technical account leadership skills.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Advanced Services or high-level support.
- Large-scale network design skills.
Education and Experience Level Required:
- Requires BS degree or equivalent plus 5+ years of related experience.
- CCIE R&S, SP and/or DC.
Arabic Language Skills are required.
This is an onsite position in Saudi Arabia.
