The RoleThe RoleThis international Oil and Gas engineering consultancy requires a qualified and experienced Modularization Manager for ongoing project based work in Canada. With several large projects throughout the world the JV organization is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic candidates. The modularization shall be responsible but not limited to the following major tasks: - Organize and lead a team to design and supervise the modularization work in the project, multi-discipline coordination among the civil/structural, piping, electrical, instrument and construction; - Define and execute detail modularization plan; maintain modularization budget & schedule; monitor progress on status & budget; weekly report to senior project management - Identify; log; analyze and manage risks; take corrective action and review impact on scope, schedule, quality and cost - Be alert for any Project Plan deviation of modules and keep participants and management informed - Liaise with the Engineering, procurement and Construction team from the initial project stage until the successful implementation of the Project - Establish and manage filing of modular documents, communication with customer/suppliers, technical & commercial changes of modularization - Manage and control the resources and costs of the module to meet the project budget - Represent the company at meetings with customer/suppliers and be responsible for drafting the minutes of meetings - Responsible for the projects’ commitment to quality; fit for purpose or specification level and in compliance with the required quality and inspection standards - Define acceptance criteria/work together with specialists to define acceptance criteria for module to be delivered - Responsible for all technical and commercial aspects of Modularization work; elaborate, negotiate and manage contracts with the various suppliers and fabricators |
RequirementsRequirements- Experience in modularization project of oil recovery field - 5 – 10 years experience of large industrial projects for the manufacturing of heavy mechanical equipment; iron & Steel - Be familiar with international standards, codes and regulations (US, Canadian) - Be familiar with Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) Technology - Bachelor or Master in Engineering Degree with good foundation in process and mechanical - Fluent in English (written, oral and listening) - Good communication and organization skills - Good people motivator - Dynamic personality - Ability to travel when required |
