Job description / Role
Our client is looking for a Motor Underwriting Manager to join their esteemed organisation.
The individual will be responsible for developing short and long term strategies and plans for the Motor portfolio; in addition to developing and implementing procedures and standards for underwriting and claims management.
He/She will be responsible for guiding and directing the Motor Department, supervising all the works related to the department including dealing with motor accidents, payment of claims, follow up of recovery from individuals, companies and court verdicts in favour of the company.
Requirements
- Graduate or Post Graduate Degree In Business Administration/Finance/Economics/Mathematics
- Professional qualification (Insurance/ other)
- Extensive conventional and Islamic Insurance industry experience (Minimum 15 years, 10 years + as head of the department of relevant field of general insurance), Minimum 3 years in UAE
- Experience in drafting/amending policy wordings and technical specifications
- Extensive knowledge of the industry
- Knowledge of underlying insurance concepts
- Knowledge of Takaful concepts and models
