Network Engineer - Leading Company - Dubai

Network Engineer required by prestigious client to provide network support across the business for all infrastructure, troubleshooting and network issues and problems. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining network devices, network security and ensuring that the organizations systems are available as required.

Responsibilities
- Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
- Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, good put, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.
- Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
- Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.
- Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and meet with vendors to assess the best products for the infrastructure
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
- Perform performance tests and ensure the architecture is designed for complete failover
- Repair and recover from network issues.
- Apply patches as per the patch management policy
- Perform on-going performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimisation as required

Requirements

- HP Switches
- Should have knowledge in LAN, WAN & VPN
- Sonic Wall Routers / Firewalls
- Cisco Routers / Firewalls
- Wireless (Aruba)
- AVAYA Telephone System
- ITIL certified
- AVAYA Telephones (a plus but not essential)
- Bachelor Degree in a technical major i.e. computer science
- Network Certifications (preferred but not essential) i.e. CISSP, CCDA, CCNP
- At least 4+ years of network administration experience
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Responsibilities will require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice
