Network & Telecom Engineer

Job description / Role

- Providing 3rd level support for all IT managers in Middle East and emerging countries.

- Member of the team responsible for the NOC and DR for all Carrefour branches.

- Coordinating with the telecom suppliers to resolve tickets in an effective and fast approach.

- Coordinating with providers and partners for maintenance and new implementations.

- Monitor and maintain internal OLA and external SLA.

- Maintaining the network equipment.

- Implement new services, products and projects in NOC DR and DRC.

- Plan and execute network maintenance and software and hardware upgrades.

- Travelling to countries to Implement all the network devices and manage the projects for the new store openings.

- Monitoring, analyzing & troubleshooting of all the LAN & WAN Connections.

- Opening, following up & investigating requests and tickets with the local ISP & Orange business Services.

- Maintaining Video Conference Bridge and end points to ensure the high quality video calls.

- Update the documentation of related network systems and services.

Requirements

Education:
BA in Network and Telecommunication Engineering

Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience is a similar role

Skills:
- Advanced skills in understanding and configuring routing switching, firewalls and wireless protocols.
- Advance knowledge of all types Virtual Private Network (VPN) configuration and implementation (Remote VPN, LAN2LAN VPN, WebVPN and DMVPN).
- Advance knowledge of MPLS architecture and operations.
- Advance knowledge of network security.
- Network Management and monitoring using various monitoring tools such as LAN Analyzer, and Packet Analyzer devices and software’s.
- Installation & administration of Riverbed Steelhead.
- Orion Products: NPM, NCM, NTA and IPAM.
- Paessler: PRTG Network Monitor.
