The RoleThe RoleOversees the planning, design, security, implementation, operation and support of the organization's ýdata communications network and telecom environment. Analyzes department needs and establishes ýpriorities for network design and implementation to develop new and/or modify the company's ýnetworks. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of all functions. -Provides expertise in network design and troubleshooting. ý -Assists in establishing technical direction for administration and maintenance of network systems ýincluding routers, firewalls and security systems to ensure network systems and applications at ýhighest standards for security and availability. Ensure the development and use of an effective ýpreventative maintenance program suitable to meet the operation objective of high availability.ý -Works with corporate user base and vendors to analyze and resolve technical issues. ý -Analyze and troubleshoot network communication failures in the telephony and WAN environment. ý -Work closely with infrastructures on architecture projects.ý -Manage VIOP, WAN, cabling, HVAC, UPS systems and video conferencing environment with other ýstaff members within the global IT team.ý -Maintain/monitor assigned systems to ensure optimal performance, to determine system ýupgrade/replacement schedules and to meet established SLA commitments. ý -Advanced leadership, project management, troubleshooting and technical skills.ý -Participate in business driven projects as network/telecommunications team. Represent IT needs, ýprovide subject matter expertise, assist in implementation planning and execute. Manage timelines ýand resources with associated projects.ý -Primary technical authority in designing, evaluating and evolving backbone infrastructure to meet ýcurrent and future business needs.ý -Advanced knowledge in VoIP, QoS, SIP, video conferencing, video streaming, IPSec, VPN, MPLS, ýISDN (PRI) and WAN technologies ý -Hands on TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting, and administration of Cisco routers and ýswitches. ý -Advanced understanding of VoIP signaling and signaling networking with SS&, BRI/PRI. Avaya PDS knowledge is a plus. ý -Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and software tools for performance monitoring and ýtroubleshooting. ý -Direct experience in leading the network design for large-scale enterprise / service provider IP ýnetworks and scaled the network to support a very large customer base. ý |
RequirementsRequirementsQualification: BS ýdegree in Computer ýScience, Communications ýor equivalent. PMP, CCNA, CCNP, CCND, ýCCIE, Avaya certifications ýare desirable. ý Experience: -ý8 Years Experience in Telecom, Cabling and Network Systems ýOS. Knowledge in VOIP/IP Telephony systems. ý -Previous supervisory experience in converged networks.ý -Strong working knowledge in TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, IPSec, ýL2TP, PPP, SIP, SMTP, POP, IMAP, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, EAP, ýFirewall protocols and load balancers. ý -Expert level understanding of Cisco and 3Com equipment, ýIOS, Policy-based Routing and other vendor technologies. ý -Experience in large scale lab setup and simulation, generation ýand execution of test plans based on business requirements.ý -Experience with sports services and events claims/eligibility ýdata preferred.ý -Hands-on experience in tools to perform Traffic Engineering, ýPeering, Capacity Planning, Intrusion Detection; SPAM control, ýNetwork Audits and Security. ý -Act as subject matter expert for all IP-routing related issues, ýLAN & WAN Systems topologies, and WAN technologies. ý -Experience in 802.11 protocols & 802.11x networks. ý -Continuous education on current technical issues and ýapplication of new products and procedures ý Function: Ability to deal with complex problems Demonstrates good judgment and decision making skills Experience in managing projects and performing business analysis, functional design and ýtechnical design on information technology projects.ý Familiarity with engineering terms Demonstrated ability to translate complex, technical concepts into easy-to-understand lay terms |
