The Role


The Role


Develop a new business development strategy and action/process plan with the support of the VP.
Develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new income for FLASH to an agreed annual target.
Present FLASH to potential clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails.
Develop and responsible for your own lead generation and appointment setting.
Participate and set up creative workshops within FLASH to identify new business opportunities.
Cover all areas of business development including events, joint ventures, new products and services, partnerships, etc.
Ensure customer relationship management by improving involvement of existing clients and use of tools such as corporate and dedicate client websites/portals.
Ensure active and successful management of the sales/new business process: lead generation, credentials pitch, pitch presentation and documentation, asking questions, solution pitch, negotiation, contract sign off, handover and monitoring of revenue collection (invoicing, etc).
Attend and represent FLASH as a representative at industry events and tradeshows, receptions, conferences.
manage and maintain a pipeline and ensure all new business development opportunities are properly administered using a database (CRM)
Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation,
Respond to tenders, RFP or request for information in a timely manner.
Continuously interact with other departments including the Projects, Operations and Commercial when handing over business ensuring a full and correct brief in all aspects of the deal.
Ensure the collation of all information and prepare monthly management report.
Build and analyze new business development deals using financial models: fees, budgets, P&L, cash flows, etc.
Present FLASH to potential clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails.
Support in the preparation of reports and presentations based on the inputs from all FLASH Departments.
Build and analyze financial models.
Research new clients/partners/businesses and assist with project implementation.
Assist the VP in implementing change management initiatives to ensure FLASH is equipped with adequate infrastructure and processes to support growth.
Apply project management skills for various assignments including bespoke projects (short- and long- term)
Undertake research, preparation and drafting to facilitate new business planning and reporting including the development of a long-term business plan FLASH.

Positive and determined approach to researching and analyzing new business opportunities.
Ability to develop new (event) concepts and ideas that can be developed for clients or market.
Strong oral and written communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentations (including the ability to draft understandable, clear and consistent documents on topics within the areas of responsibility).
Ability to create, manipulate and utilize spreadsheets, word processing programs.
Analytical in strategic concepts and market development.
Ability to engender confidence of management and exercise good judgment in handling sensitive information.

Qualifications
Bachelor Degree Business, Marketing, preferably a Masters or MBA
Formalized sales and business development training and certifications.
Formalized negotiation training and certifications.
Formalized business analysis and finance training and certifications

A minimum of 5-7 years strategic planning/business development and research industry experience or investment banking or consulting experience.
