Job description / Role

- Act as a team leader and assign the job to the shift nurse

- Take the responsibility of job and staff

- Conduct the training practice of ACLS & B. L.S. Every 3 months

- Attend basic medical needs of employees

- Coordinate and implement all medical, health and safety programs (health care, education. Drug administration as per prescribed medicine by doctor)

- Conduct office and work area inspection to define health and safety hazard

- Liaises with field’s medical staff in order to assist with appointment, scheduling, organizing and conduction of house training among employees whenever it is necessary

- Complies with prescribed safety and health requirement

-Record all medical emergency cases

- Record illnesses and injuries encountered

- Prepares and submits a daily and monthly incident accident report

-Promotes health and safety educational programs in coordination with the immediate superior and patient

- Follow the protocol and stranding order as per the company policy

- Arranging to transfer accident medical cases to hospitals in emergency by ambulance

- Treating common injuries.

- Vaccinating staff from all contagious and communicable diseases.

- Provides advice on diet, hygiene, general health and ways & methods of disease prevention.

- Notifying the Human Resources department of all outbreaks of all infectious diseases & deaths.

- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel.

- Caring for patients experiencing acute mental distress or who have an enduring mental illness

- Assessing and talking to patients about their problems and discussing the best way to plan and deliver their care

- Responding to distressed patients in a non-threatening manner and attempting to understand the source of distress

- Encouraging patients to take part in art, drama or occupational therapy where appropriate

Excellent people skills:

You will be providing care for people of all ages and backgrounds. You should be able to put people at their ease, gain their confidence and deal sympathetically with their problems and fears.

Good communication and observation:

Communication and observation are crucial to good nursing. You need to be a good at listening as well as talking and you have to be constantly alert to changes in patients' conditions and the implications in terms of care.

Ability to answer questions and offer advice:

Nurses are the most frequent point of contact for patients, so you must be able to answer their questions, share your knowledge and skills with patients, their families and friends and make sure their needs are recognized by the rest of the care team.

Happy to work as part of a team:

As a nurse you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes doctors, physiotherapists, anaesthetists, pharmacists, dietitians and many more. You need to know how all these different people work together.

Dealing with emotionally charged situations:

Nursing can sometimes involve managing distress. You'll play a key part in helping patients and families come through their crises.

Qualification:

Diploma in Nursing
Registered Nurse (Preferably)
