Nursery Director

Job description / Role

RTS Global Partners – Executive Search & Selection is searching on behalf of a client, for a highly qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Director to take on the responsibility for establishing and managing a new nursery in Dubai.

The overall Aim for the Nursery Director is to:
• provide first class quality and flexible childcare for families wishing to join the nursery
• govern and co-ordinate all day to day operations of the Early Learning Centre to utmost standards, guaranteeing the best possible environment and care are provided to the young children
• ensure the correct compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and follow the requirements as laid down by the government

Responsibilities include:
1. Childcare and Education:
• Developing the character of the young children and focusing on creating a welcoming and family friendly environment
• Supervising the daily activity planning to ensure that the children’s needs are met
• Working on creating a long lasting partnership with the parents, providing a high standard of customer satisfaction which would include frequent and sometimes detailed progress reports
• Regular checks on the equipment’s, such as furniture and playing materials, to certify that they are in excellent condition to enable a high quality learning space always keeping in mind the safety and wellbeing of the young children’s
• Ensuring smooth correlation with colleagues and other professional such as the medical help and with the relevant local authority departments
• Carefully adhering to all the health regulations specified by the ministry of health
• Carefully adhering to all the safety regulations specified by the ministry of civil defence
• Being fully aware of all the emergency and security procedures

2. Management and Administration:
• Assisting in the recruiting and later on training of suitably qualified and experienced employees for a refined and structured learning environment
• Providing ongoing support to the whole team whenever the occasion may arise
• Focusing on developing an open and positive working relationship with all the employees
• Striving to develop a friendly and experienced team who are to meet as well as exceed all possible standards
• Having a one to meeting with all the employees at least once a month and to determine and monitor progress
• Partial responsibility for all the administrative duties associated with the Early Learning Centre which includes but is not limited to maintaining child records , ordering of necessary equipment’s and handling of employee records.

Requirements

• Minimum CACHE level 3 diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in running a nursery or preschool in UAE
• Bachelors Degree in Education preferred
• Excellent English speaking skills
• Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
• Well versed with EYFS (early years foundation stage) curriculum
• Ability to handle matters with parents professionally
• Ability to structure a daily and suitable timetable and calendar for the nursery
• A high level of interpersonal skills appropriate to a variety of audience
