Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A warm, experienced and enthusiastic early childhood English/ French / Arabic female teacher. Early years, or nursery, teachers work in pre-school, nursery with children aged between 4 months and four years. They plan and carry out activities in line with the requirements of the early years foundation stage (EYFS). This involves developing work schemes and lessons plans to motivate children and imaginatively using resources to help them learn.

Teachers develop the social and communication skills of children and provide a safe and secure environment in which the child can learn. They build and maintain relationships with parents/guardians to further support pupils as well as operate within multi-agency networks to ensure the correct support is available.

Requirements

Minimum experience of 2-5 years.
Teacher certification and a BA is a basic requirement.

Skills:
1- motivate and stimulate children's learning abilities, often encouraging learning through experience;
2- provide pastoral care and support to children with a secure environment to learn;
3- develop and produce visual aids and teaching resources;
4- organise learning materials and resources and makie imaginative use of resources;
5- assist with the development of children's personal/social and language abilities;
6- supporting the development of children's basic skills, including physical coordination, speech and communication;
7- encourage children's mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play;
8- develop children's curiosity and knowledge;
working with others, including teaching assistants and/or nursery nurses as well as volunteer helpers, to plan and coordinate work both indoors and outdoors;
9- share knowledge gained with other practitioners and parents;
10- observe, assess and record each child's progress;
11- attend in-service training;
12- ensure the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the nursery/school;
13- keep up to date with changes in the curriculum and developments in best practice.
