Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Assist and advice Lusail on development, implementation and monitoring of Lusail construction occupational health and industrial hygiene management processes.
- Manage and ensure continues improvement of the site health, welfare and hygiene component of the Lusail construction HSE management system.
- Monitor and ensure the implementation of Lusail Occupational Health Plan and Minimum Requirements.
- Develop and implement Lusail reports/checklists for the purpose of standardisation and quality improvement of relevant health, hygiene and welfare arrangements of the project e.g. drill reports, patient log, case management, hygiene inspection, emergency equipment etc.
- Ensure and facilitate legal compliance of all site medical aid centres and uphold patient safety.
- Develop and/or advice Lusail contractors/developers on administration of industrial hygiene/occupational health programs which is designed to reduce work related hazards & risks i.e. hearing conservation, respiratory protection, ergonomics, travel health, immunizations.
- Monitor the implementation of contractors/developers industrial hygiene and medical surveillance protocols relevant to the identified high risk activities on site.
- Collaborate with site HSE supervisors to identify hazardous construction activities and advice on the appropriate industrial hygiene protocols for implementation and monitoring.
- Ensure and advice contractors/developers medical staff on the classification and reporting of all occupational injuries and illness.
- Ensure acceptable and appropriate case management of injury/illness on duty.
- Advice and assist with reporting of infectious diseases and public health concerns to Lusail and other governmental agencies.
- Performs and manage the periodic health, hygiene and facility compliance audits for Lusail Construction contractor/developer sites, to include labour camps.
- Advise and collaborate with other departments with regards to the on site emergency arrangements to improve overall response time.

Requirements

- Post basic occupational health diploma or equivalent.
- General nursing or medicine background.
- Current Nursing or medicine license in Qatar and practice is required, or its ability to obtain such.
- 10 years of total medical experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience in occupational health and emergency response management in construction industry.
- Relevant Industrial hygiene training.
