The Role


The Role

For a leading company in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Occupational Health & Safety Officer will inspect work places to detect unsafe or unhealthy working conditions and ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing workplace safety.
You will ensure equipment, materials and production processes do not present a safety and health hazard, investigate health and safety related complaints, enforce health and safety laws and regulations.
You will be also be responsible for providing advice and guidance on developing safe and healthy practices, while encouraging Managers, Supervisors and Employees to participate in occupational health and safety programs.
Applicants must have a thorough understanding of legislation relating to safety standards.

Working hours depend on the types of workplaces you inspect. Overtime may be required, particularly after an incident or a hazardous situation has been identified. You will spend most of your time in the field.

Requirements


Requirements

The successful candidate must have a degree in science, engineering or a related discipline and at least 5 years experience as a Health & Safety Officer.

You must have excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. You will be extremely organised with excellent analytical skills.

You must have experience in managing a team and have displayed previous mediation and conflict resolution management.
