Ocean Freight Pricing Executive

Job description / Role

Objective:

Working for a large international freight and logistics company the main objective of this role is to provide a good combination of best service and freight by researching the market for all import and export rate requests.

Main Responsibilities:

Assess and compare rates and service details with at least 3 different lines or their
agents ensuring best rates and services to/ from required locations.

Assess and compile all global contract rates through the CMS (Contract Management
System) ensuring regular and timely update of changes to internal / external customers.

Maintain excellent relationships with key suppliers from relevant fields and ensure regular
receipt of rates.

Enhance relationships with existing and potential customers by offering specialised
knowledge, approach to their requests and availability for single or joint sales calls with
the commercial team ensuring effective customer service.

Manage and maintain all received ocean freight rates from the carriers and give them (the carriers) regular feedback (min. quarterly) on the outcome of business secured / not
secured with the received rates

Monitor & provide technical advice to operations ensuring smooth flow of shipments once secured and function as the single point of contact for the customers for such matters.
Provide guidance and support to the Commercial team to ensure product development and awareness

Keep abreast and communicate market happenings and updates related to the Ocean Freight product to all related stakeholders i.e. Commercial and Operation Teams to ensue the company capitalises on available business opportunities.

Gross monthly base salary: upto 13K AED

Requirements

University Qualifications: Graduate
Nature and length of previous experience: 2-3 years experience working within a Ocean freight Pricing department.

Excellent skills in planning, time management, problem solving and decision making

UAE market knowledge
