Office Relocation Manager

Job description / Role

Office Relocation Manager - 12 month contract

Our client requires an experienced and professional expert to manage the full relocation and merger of 2 of their offices within Dubai from a free-zone to a non free-zone area.

Responsibilities include:
Research on suitable office space dependant on size, cost and location.
Budget management along with continuous status update reports.
Managing the logistics of relocating and merging of approximately 150 staff from 2 separate offices.
Communication to the employees on the project with regular updates.
Liaising with contractors for office fit out, design and layout.
Liaising with removal contractors to shift all office equipment and ensure IT, phones, desks and furniture are in place within the deadline.
Coordinating with government departments to ensure legalities and regulatory affairs are compliant.
Coordinating with immigration departments to ensure all personnel documents are compliant.
Sourcing 3rd party vendors for the new office such as maintenance, office suppliers, cleaning and IT.
Creation of health and safety guidelines for the new office.
Ensuring business continuity at all times.
Ensuring the project is delivered on time and KPIs are met.

Requirements

Candidates should have experience in large change projects, with UAE office relocation experience. Knowledge of legal requirements is essential along with the UAE labour law.
Candidates should have proven experience of delivering projects on time.
Ability to negotiate good rates for 3rd party vendors and management of budgets.
A Prince 2 qualification would be highly desirable.
