Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Conducts end of day operations in the data centre. Ensure Network Operations Centre (NOC) activities in the data centre and First Level Support for Applications, Network & systems. Manage periodic back-up of all applications. Responsible for the retrieval and archiving of data as planned or on ad hoc basis. Maintains the security of the data centre, ensuring systems maintain protection against perceived risks.

In addition to the above, focus on working closely with Senior Manager Data Centre to provide management information as required and ensure service quality and end users support to bank wide system operation.

Requirements

• Conduct End Of Day operations
• Ensure NOC Activities are conducted within the data centre as per shift requirements of 24X7
• Ensure First Level Support is provided for all the Systems & Applications monitored with-in the NOC
• Ensure First Level Support is provided for Network equipments including network patching of servers to the correct switch & port assigned
• Manage escalation of issues to second level in a timely manner and keep up to date information about the progress of problem resolution
• Manage the Backup/archiving and restore/retrieval of data as scheduled and planned or on an ad-hoc basis as requested by users.
• Manage backups & backup client installation on the servers
• Ensure changes and new releases are implemented across the systems and databases as instructed in the release sheet
• Manage & review access to the privileged systems through Cyberarc and eGP as per the request received from IT users
• Manage & control server Movement in and out of Data Centre
• Ensure file transfers across various applications and 3rd party as required by every business application function
• Ensure co-ordination of Account Statement printing and archiving
• Maintains the security of the data centre ensuring systems provide protection against perceived risks including UPS, Air Conditioning, fire fighting, physical security against unauthorized personnel.
• Work closely with Senior Manager Data Centre to ensure service quality and end users support to bank wide system operation
• Participates in IT Department meetings to ensure efficient cost effective procurement, selection and implementation of equipment for the Bank.
