The RoleThe RoleJob Title: UAE Operations Manager Location: Abu Dhabi General summary: • Responsible for efficient functioning of UAE verification department (including ASME, crane / lifting inspection, call out inspection, project site inspection and worldwide source / vendor inspection), including management of P & L account • Estimation and preparation of proposals and large tenders and supervision of administrative and inspectors. • Responsible for UAE business development activities and for achieving budget and margin targets. • Uses independent judgment in carrying out responsibilities and takes initiative to handle special tasks such as prequalification documents preparation for prospective clients etc. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Meeting regularly prospective and existing clients for business development. 2. Assists in preparation of prequalification documents for submission to prospective clients and follows up till approval and registration with those prospective clients. 3. Prepares technical and financial tenders 4. Arranges to submit completed tender in required number of copies to client on or before tender submission date. 5. Carries out Project Management activities for site and source inspections. 6. Assigns tasks to operation supervisors / inspectors to ensure timely completion of all required activities. 7. Coordinates with clients to ensure all required activities are undertaken in a timely manner. 8. Supervises, monitors and provides support to admin staff to ensure timely receipt of security passes, visit visa, hotel accommodation etc administrative work related to operational activities. 9. Ensures Quality Records are maintained as required by the internal and client Quality Management System (QMS) as required. 10. Supervises and supports admin/secretarial staff. 11. Performs an overview of the day to day project management of ongoing projects (including quality, and financial monitoring including invoicing and client payments). 12. Monitors monthly financial performance against agreed monthly budgets |
RequirementsRequirementsQualification, Experience and Skill Requirement: 1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent 2. Minimum 15 years experience out of which 5 years shall be in Supervisory level, preferably with inspection agencies. 3. Experience of managing a P & L account 4. Skill in using MS office, Excel and Power Point. 5. Excellent oral and written communication skill. 6. Ability to handle routine and non-routine business matters in the absence of Regional Verification Manager. 7. Ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments. 8.
